GADGETS AND GIFTS
I expect everyone has experienced the problem of not
knowing what to get a certain someone as a present. Something that
is original, interesting, perhaps useful and yet shows that at least
some thought has gone into it.
Help is at hand - here are some suggestions which may
help - things you probably didn't even know existed, let alone where to
buy them.
iHelicopter
Lightspeed Phone Controlled i-Helicopter
Controlled by your phone!

Voted "TOP
GADGET" In The Sunday Times - 23 October 2011!
This amazing
iHelicopter has just been launched in the UK and I have found a
place where you can buy it at a really hot introductory offer price of
£29.99 (RRP £69.99) but I am sure this special price wont last long!
You can save even more money by buying two at just £27.50 each.
This amazing new iHelicopter is great on so many levels but probably the
most impressive is the awesome way you can control it from your Phone
i.e. not just iPhone because unlike other i-Helicopters on the market,
this model also supports several Android phones as well.
So, you just download the free App (Copter Controller) from the apple
App store or Android market, plug in the included IR transmitter and
away you go.
As the App is free, why not download it now (Copter Controller) to check
out the cool user interface.
You can control it from your iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch and supported
Android phones including: HTC - Desire S, HTC - Desire HD, HTC -
Incredible S, Samsung - 9100, Samsung - i9000, Moto - MB525, LG - P350,
HTC - Hero, HTC - Sensation.
The helicopter can be controlled Up/Down, Left/Right, Forward/Back, and
thanks to the inbuilt Gyro this is pretty easy to do.
So, what sets this phone controlled helicopter apart from the
competition:
1. Compared to traditional remote controls, its just so much more
satisfying control a helicopter from you phone, and you'll be the envy
of all onlookers.
2. It has iDevice and Android Support.
3. The App itself will be updated often with new features meaning that
you get the "new product" feeling again without any additional
expenditure. E.g. a Flight Recording mode will be added soon, enabling
you to record a flight and then the helicopter will perform the same
moves again at the press of a button.
4. You don't need to buy batteries for the controller which represents a
lot of money saved over the lifetime of the product.
5. The TURBO button for extra forward speed is a real bonus.
6. The throttle stick can be placed into position and then you can let
go of it and it will maintain the same height. This made it easier to
control than with a normal controller where you need to keep the
throttle in place.
7. Motion control is great fun as you can tilt the phone to make it move
forwards/backwards and left/right.
8. The helicopter has cool LED lights on its canopy, and you can also
turn these off to increase flight times if you like (just flip the
switch on the App UI).
9. The instructions are very well written and easy to understand.
10. This is without a doubt a very durable mini helicopter which can
withstand the rigours of less than able pilots.
As the slogan on the box
says, "just download the App and let the fun begin!"

The
iHat is an innovative piece of headgear for anyone that wants to
listen to music, keep warm and be cool, all at the same time.
Main Features:
-
One Size
-
Compatible with any
music player, iPod or
iPhone with a headphone
socket
-
No need for mains or
battery power
-
Colour: Black
-
High quality warm hat
It is a perfect gift for travellers as you simply plug the iHat, which
has built -in speakers, in your iPod or MP3 player.
The speakers are driven by
your MP3 player and, therefore, no batteries are required and as there
is a speaker over each ear it provides a full stereo effect.
It is less fiddly than
trying to combine a normal hat with wearing earphones and has the added
bonus of allowing the wearer to hear what's going on around them which
is not the case with normal headphones.

I expect men dread receiving
the dreaded "socks" for Christmas or birthday so why not surprise them
with these
massage socks!
Each sock has the
various pressure points used in reflexology printed on the sole, so they
can get their wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend (or anyone else who is
prepared to pamper them) to administer the correct pressure to each area
to ensure their internals stay in peak condition and it may even help
relieve their stress.
It would even make for a fun
girls' night in or, perhaps, you can start a craze of DIY Reflexology
evenings!
Stimulate and soothe through the ancient and natural art of reflexology.
Simply apply pressure with your thumb to each clearly indicated pressure
point to stimulate your vital organs into better health.
May sound like a joke but
they are worth a try especially as they are not expensive.
