Useful Tips
The internet
- If you don't want to be inundated with junk email avoid giving out your email
address
unnecessarily.
- Only give credit card details if you are sure you are on a secure Web Page (indicated by
a small padlock icon)
- Never send credit card details by email.
- When choosing passwords, try not to make it too obvious. A combination of letters
and numbers is the best option.
- When talking in chat rooms remember you don't know who you are talking to, they could be
anyone.
- Be cautious when opening attachments within
emails (especially from unknown sources) as these can often contain a
virus or
phishing codes.
Insurance
If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident
involving a foreign lorry then bear in mind that many overseas lorries have
a different number plate for the cabin part to that of the trailer.
Ensure you take note of both numbers as these will be
required by your insurance company.
